NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors of the San Miguel Consolidated Fire Protection District intends to amend the District’s nonsubstantive Conflict of Interest Code amendment pursuant to Government Code Section 87300.
A Conflict of Interest Code designates those employees, members, officers, and consultants who make or participate in the making of decisions which may affect financial interests, who must disclose those interests in financial disclosure statements, and who must disqualify themselves from making or participating in the making of governmental decisions affecting those interests. The District’s amended Code will include a revision to an existing job title.
The amended Conflict of Interest Code will be considered by the Board of Directors on October 23, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. at San Miguel Fire District Headquarters, 2850 Via Orange Way, Spring Valley, CA 91978. Any interested person may be present and comment at the public meeting or may submit written comments concerning the proposed Code. Written comments must be received by 5:30 p.m. on October 21, 2024.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the San Miguel Consolidated Fire Protection District Board of Directors has adopted Ordinance 24-04, which finalizes Annexation 4 into Community Facilities District 2022-1. A public hearing and election were held at the Board Meeting of July 24, 2024, with the Ordinances being adopted at the Board Meeting of August 14, 2024. The vote on Ordinance 24-01 was unanimous with Directors McKenna, Muns, Nelson, Pierce, Raddatz, Robles and Woodruff all voting in favor. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the San Miguel Consolidated Fire Protection District Board of Directors has adopted Ordinances 24-02 and 24-03, which finalize Annexations 2 and 3 into Community Facilities District 2022-1. Public hearings and elections were held at the Board Meeting of June 12, 2024, with the Ordinances being adopted at the Board Meeting of July 24, 2024, both at 5:30 p.m. Each ordinance was voted on separately, with Directors McKenna, Muns, Nelson, Pierce, Raddatz, Robles and Woodruff unanimously voting in favor of both. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the San Miguel Consolidated Fire Protection District Board of Directors has adopted Ordinance 24-01, which updates the Fire Prevention Fee Schedule. Two public hearings were conducted relating to this ordinance -- Wednesday, May 8, 2024 and Wednesday, June 12, 2024, both at 5:30 p.m. in the District Board Room at 2850 Via Orange Way, Spring Valley, CA 91978. Ordinance 24-01 was adopted following the June 12, 2024 public hearing by the following vote: Directors McKenna, Muns, Nelson, Raddatz, Robles and Woodruff in favor, Director Pierce absent. In accordance with Government Code Section 25123 and Health & Safety Code Section 13861(h), the new fee schedule will go into effect July 15, 2024 (the first business day following the 31st day after the ordinance adoption). NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the San Miguel Consolidated Fire Protection District intends to participate in the County of San Diego’s Fire Mitigation Fee Program for Fiscal Year 2024-2025.
A Public Hearing is scheduled to take place at the next Board Meeting:
Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 5:30 p.m.
The public is invited to attend this public hearing in the District Board Room at
2850 Via Orange Way, Spring Valley, CA 91978.
After the public hearing, the Board may adopt Resolution 24-08
declaring participation in the Fire Mitigation Fee Program.

Ordinance 2023-2 was duly introduced at a regular public meeting of the San Miguel Consolidated Fire Protection District Board, held on June 14, 2023, and was duly adopted, passed, and ordered posted at an adjourned regular meeting of the San Miguel Consolidated Fire Protection District Board held on July 12, 2023.
The new plan check fees will go into effect August 14, 2023.
