Plan Check

San Miguel Fire & Rescue is unable to process digital plan checks at this time.
Please deliver your plans to our office:

2850 Via Orange Way (2nd floor)
Spring Valley, CA 91978

Our Administrative Office is open Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
We close daily for lunch from 12 - 1 pm, and are closed wee
kends and holidays.

No appointment necessary, and payment is not required at time of drop-off.

Please note, we are unable to process plan checks "over the counter."
Expediting your plan check, for an additional fee, is a possibility dependant upon the number of plans in the queue and how many of those plans have already requested to be expedited.

Turnaround time is typically within 10 business days.
Due to increased plan check volume, current staffing levels and multiple staff members conducting plan checks, status inquiries are not accepted by phone or email. You will receive an email once your plan check is complete and ready to be picked up. This is a simple notification email and will not state whether a plan is approved or requires corrections. Plans that require corrections will include a detailed directive along with the name and contact information of the staff who completed your plan check. If you have questions or need further clarification, please contact the staff specified on your correction sheet.

Plan Check fees include review of your blueprints and a visit to your job site for final sign-off.
Payment is due at time of pick up, and accepted forms of payment are check, money order, or exact cash. We are unable to process credit cards or any type of electronic payment.
