Licensed Care Facilities
The following checklists are provided to assist licensed care providers in preparing for a fire safety inspection related to family daycare homes, daycare facilities, and residential care facilities.
Please ensure that Community Care Licensing submits a FIRE SAFETY INSPECTION FORM STD. 850 and/or FACILITY SKETCH (Floor & Yard Plan) with your request for inspection to info@sanmiguelfire.org. If submitting via US mail, please send to our Administrative Offices: San Miguel Fire & Rescue

Daycare facilities - More than 6 children 2 years of age and older who receive educational, supervision, or personal care services, less than 24-hour care.
I-47 or more clients any age who receive custodial care by persons other than parents or guardians, relatives by blood, marriage, or adoption, and in a place other than the home of the client cared for, less than 24-hour care.
R-2.17 or more non-ambulatory and/or bedridden clients, 24-hour care.
R-3Small family daycare homes - A home which provides family day-care for 1 - 8 children, including children under the age of 10 years who reside at the home, in the provider’s own home, less than 24 hours per day.
Large family daycare homes - A home which provides family day-care to 9 - 14 children, including children under the age of 10 years who reside at the home, in the provider’s own home, less than 24 hours per day.
Adult care facilities for 1 - 6 clients, less than 24-hour care.
Adult care facilities for 1 - 6 clients, 24-hour care.
R-47 or more ambulatory clients, but not more than 16 clients total, 24-hour care.
